As someone who has always valued the economic freedom, it pains me to see the often frugal lives Canadians like myself have to lead due to the restricted trade policies within our own country. We need to work towards establishing unrestricted, free trade across all provinces and territories.

Through my personal experience and widespread stories of others, I've witnessed how these restrictions strain our economy and compel families to count every penny. One example being high beer prices due to interprovincial trade barriers costing us CAD$150 million every year, according to a study by the Canadian Constitution Foundation (2016).

Apart from easing day-to-day living, the economic prosperity this can bring is enormous. Statistics Canada reported barriers to internal trade cost the Canadian economy up to CAD$130 billion each year. By removing these restrictions, we allow for an increased flow of goods, services, and investments, leading to more opportunities and development.
