Establish Strict Penalties for False Accident Claims to Lower Insurance Premiums

The Issue

The course of my wife's life was interrupted when an unforeseen incident occurred: she was involved in a low-speed vehicle accident that had legal consequences. Despite the fact that she wasn't even issued a ticket by the police, our lives took a drastic turn when those sitting on the other side of the incident decided to misuse their Full Tort right by unjustly suing us for pain and suffering.

The plaintiffs, who were involved in a collision at less than 10 mph, managed to entangle us in a lawsuit that was frivolous at best, claiming damages for immaterial items like hair braids for their daughter. This action was taken despite the fact that no injuries were reported at the scene and one of them had recently undergone spinal fusion surgery.

It's not an isolated incident but a pattern. Certain individuals have been known to exploit the system by falsifying pain and suffering claims in automobile accidents. This unethical behavior burdens insurance companies with unnecessary litigation costs, which are then passed onto consumers in the form of higher insurance premiums.

It's evident from numerous records that such plaintiffs frequently engage in these deceptive lawsuits, taking advantage of the current system's gaps. It is imperative for the integrity of our legal and insurance systems that this issue be addressed promptly.

We demand the introduction of stricter penalties for making false claims and the implementation of more rigorous validation processes for pain and suffering claims in car accident cases. These actions will discourage frivolous lawsuits, ensure the fair execution of justice, and lower the overall burden of insurance costs for the general public. Insurance costs will continue to rise for many of us due to the implementation of new tariffs on many non-American made parts, making insurance costs rise as well. Something has to change in the other direction and only you are the key to start that change!!

Please sign this petition to help make our roads, and our courts, fair and just for all.
