Establish September 11 as a National Day of Remembrance and No Work/School Day

The Issue

For me, this is more than just a petition; it’s a personal mission that I have. I have always felt that we need to honor the people who perished tragically on September 11th. By making this day as a national holiday, a day with no school or work, would be a significant step in paying due respect.

September 11, 2001, is a day forever burned into American and global memories. Nearly 3,000 people lost their lives that day, making it one of the deadliest attacks in all of American history. Despite its magnitude and the subsequent "War on Terror," this day is not observed as a federal holiday.

Remembering this day is a serious matter. A national holiday would bring about collective reflection and understanding. Such a move would not only honor the victims but also pay homage to the courage of the first responders and the unity of the American people in the face of an unimaginable catastrophe.

It's time for us as a nation to recognize this day officially, stimulate discussions about the implications of the event, teach our kids about its historical impact, and show the world that we remain unbroken in the face of adversity.

Please join me in urging our leaders to establish September 11 as a National Day of Remembrance and a No Work/School Day. Every signature carries us one step closer to our goal. Sign this petition, and let's aim for change together.
