Establish Multifaith Prayer Spaces in Jewel's Changi Airport

Establish Multifaith Prayer Spaces in Jewel's Changi Airport
The Issue
We are frequent visitors of Jewel's Changi Airport, a place we love for its abundant halal food choices. However, we find ourselves needing a space to pray. Currently, prayer rooms are only available in arrival and departure terminals which restricts our ability to practice our faith comfortably during our visits to the airport.
Jewel's Changi Airport is a world-class facility that serves millions of people each year. According to the Singapore Department of Statistics, Singapore is home to diverse religious communities with 33% practicing Buddhism, 18.5% Christianity, 14% Islam and others practicing Taoism or Hinduism (Singapore Department of Statistics). This diversity calls for inclusive spaces that cater for everyone’s needs.
By creating multifaith prayer spaces within Jewel’s premises itself and not just at the arrival and departure terminals, it would allow all visitors regardless of their race or religion an opportunity to practice their faith freely without having to leave the premises.
We urge Jewel’s Changi Airport management team to consider this proposal seriously as it aligns with Singapore's commitment towards promoting racial and religious harmony among its citizens and visitors alike.
Please sign this petition if you believe in promoting inclusivity in public spaces like Jewel's Changi Airport by establishing multifaith prayer rooms accessible for all visitors.
