As a resident living near a forest in Northern Ireland, close to Bangor, my tranquility has been disrupted over the recent years. It's heartbreaking to watch kids wreck the serene landscapes to create makeshift paths for their mountain bikes, purely out of boredom and lack of better alternatives. Our neighbourhood, and indeed, our children deserve better. Bangor needs more public spaces designed for kids, such as skateparks and Environmental Friendly Bike Parks, which will allow them to engage in healthy, outdoor activities in a safe and authorised manner

We can preserve our local nature while also providing our young ones with much-needed facilities they can enjoy. Let's work towards a solution that supports the activities of our children and the sanctity of our forests. Please, join me in advocating for the establishment of more kid-friendly public spaces in Bangor to keep our kids active and our forests safe.
