At 6:20 PM on Tuesday October 21st, Los Angeles City Hall will be illuminated with the Saffron, White and Green colors of the Flag of the Republic of India.

Come by to observe this momentous occasion if you can! Post photos of social media to spread the word that India has an official presence in Los Angeles (the Indian Consulate may not officially open until later this quarter but the new Consul General and a staff of 3 from India are already here

Los Angeles Mayor K Bass wrote a strong letter of support to bring the Indian Consulate to Los Angeles. Councilwoman N Raman and Deputy Mayor for International Affairs D. Sidhu  are great supporters of the Los Angeles India relationship. We thank them and many others who joined hands to support this initiative.

The volunteer charity that pushed for LA to get this consulate is "India International Impact." We are a 501c3 charity and plan to hold many events to further the ties between India and Southern California.   A member who prefers to remain anonymous has made a significant financial pledge that we need to match to finance these events.  If you can, please zelle your donation to india@indiaintlimpact.org you can also use Paypal, same email address to donate and paypal will let you use a credit card to donate even if you don't have a paypal account.
