We, the residents and well-wishers of Mangalore and Manipal, wish to express our collective need for an IMAX theatre in our cities. Our cities have seen considerable growth in the last decade, transforming into vibrant cultural, educational, and tourism hubs. Yet the absence of an IMAX theatre prevents us from enjoying the immersive cinematic experience that this technology offers.

Between our two cities, we have multiple Universities hosting tens of thousands of students, several tourist spots attracting millions of visitors every year, and an active community of residents that all together constitute a strong and growing demographic with a high demand for quality entertainment options. Yet, our cities remain underserved in this aspect.

We believe that the establishment of IMAX theatres will not only positively impact the lives of residents and tourists but can also contribute significantly to the socio-cultural and economic development of Mangalore and Manipal. We hope IMAX and leading multiplex chains will hear our plea and take necessary steps to make this a reality.
