With India being the largest film producer globally, it seems astonishing that the art and technology of cinema aren't universal across the country.

Goa, known for its vibrant culture, breathtaking scenic beauty, and home to an annual international film festival, deserves access to cinematic brilliance. An IMAX theatre, with high-resolution 70mm film projectors at the 1.43:1 aspect ratio, would transform the Goan film-going experience. This is not just about the physical size but about drawing the viewer into the story with superior quality and visually resonating images.

Movies shot on IMAX cameras by directors like Christopher Nolan, Denis Villeneuve, etc. are a visual delight. However, without an IMAX theatre, cinephiles in Goa are deprived of this experience. Whether it be feeling the vast space around the audience in "Interstellar" or experiencing the tense whispering winds of “Dune,” this limits the true scope of their cinematic vision for the audience.
