As men, we often find ourselves at a disadvantage when it comes to divorce proceedings and legal cases. According to a study by the American Journal of Men's Health, men often face bias in family courts, particularly during divorce proceedings (American Journal of Men's Health, 2019). This bias can result in unfair alimony payments or custody decisions that favor mothers over fathers. It is time for this systemic bias to be addressed.

Moreover, societal norms often place undue pressure on men as well. We are expected to be strong and stoic at all times which can lead to mental health issues being overlooked or dismissed.
