My proposal is simple yet profound - paint dedicated crosswalks celebrating our war veterans in every Canadian city.

Canada has a sizable military and veteran population, with the Department of National Defence and the Canadian Armed Forces employing more than 65,000 Regular Force members and approximately 25,000 Reserve Force members. Along with this active population, we also owe a debt of gratitude to the more than 600,000 veterans who have already served our nation (Veterans Affairs Canada, 2020).
