We are at the very edge of humanity's biggest discoveries.

There is wonder, awe, and humility at the edge of the unknown. 

Edge science & tech is on the verge of phenomenal insights and creations, but the edge S&T ecosystem in America needs help from the highest office in the land to give permission, priority, and purpose to address the unknown.

That's why we are petitioning the White House to create a new program called RISE (Research and Innovation on the Scientific Edge) in the Executive Office of the President.

We propose 3 goals for RISE:

• Cultivate our nation's prosperity and resilience by ensuring all Americans benefit from the transformative leaps in health and happiness that edge S&T can support.
• Foster a new open edge S&T ecosystem, weaving together the efforts of small businesses, colleges and universities, faith-based organizations, nonpartisan nonprofits, large tech companies, and government agencies to rise together toward the challenges of the future.
• Discover, direct funding toward, and nurture edge projects that will accelerate a wide range of US priorities, including science and technology related to: spacetime navigation, advanced energy, advanced cryptography, microgravity, supernormal human capacities, spiritual & indigenous wisdom, survival of consciousness and the power of prayer, alternative approaches to quantum computing and sensing, artificial superintelligence (ASI) and unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP).

It is our position that the RISE program necessarily needs to be adopted as a nonpartisan project by President Trump when he takes office.

By building public-facing cross-disciplinary, private-public, and cross-agency teams, RISE will harness the power of diverse perspectives to open new frontiers of scientific understanding and technological innovation.

We are working toward transforming these all-too-common impediments to healthy edge science & tech ecosystems:

• Old-school stigma, "in-group" gatekeeping, and overclassification that reduces access to the field and pushes original thinkers out of the field,
• Dismissal of indigenous and spiritual insights that could support positively disruptive ecosystems and boost resilience,
• Repeated frank bias against scientific theories, experiments, and technical demonstrations that upset prior expectations about how reality "should" work.

We know that the cumulative result of this resistance to new ways of thinking in the world of science and tech has resulted in decades of delay in discoveries and advancements that should be shaping a better future for all of us.

Why the Executive Office of the President? 
Many established institutions make it difficult for people to productively investigate and build on truly new ideas. But during the 1960s race to the moon, the Office of the President demonstrated its capacity and clear mandate to lead aggressively toward the future, especially in times of fierce technical competition with high stakes. Now such a time has come again.

The "bully pulpit" of the Executive Office of the President is needed to give the country permission, priority, and purpose to invest in edge science and technology.
