Hi all, I wanted to let you all know that we reached 728 signatures on this petition.

And after several weeks of discussion I can confirm that the Principal and Dance Department of Talent Unlimited High School have APPROVED "The Annual Shakeem Davis Award" !

I'd like to thank every single one of you for your support. This award and new tradition will honor and keep Shakeem's memory alive for years to come...I am in your debt. Without you all, this would not be possible. It means a great deal to his family and friends. 

I want to personally thank Rachel, Reggie, Melissa, Aurora, and Faye for their kind comments left on the petition. 

I'm also incredibly grateful to the vast amount of people that donated to this cause. You made a huge impact! It will not be forgotten.
