We’ve reached 123 signatures -- thank you! Just a few days ago, this petition was only an idea inspired by an injured, underweight fledgling I found at Weehawken Waterfront Park. Today, 123 people have joined the call for better wildlife rehabilitation access in Hudson County.

Right now, residents who find injured or orphaned birds often have to travel far outside the county to get them help, I needed to drive 1 hour and a half to find help for the injured baby bird. Unfortunately, we just found out the he passed away 24 hours after bringing him in and I can't help but wonder if we had something closer to help him stabilize if he would have had a better chance at survival. :/

Anyways, we have reached out to multiple elected officials, news outlets and nonprofits to tell them about our cause and collaborate on finding answers to our solutions. To gain more credibility, we have decided to start collecting local experiences to document and help us show local officials where the current system is falling short.
