The Issue

As a proud trucker, I have shared countless miles and experiences with some of the most dedicated and resilient individuals one could ever meet. My awesome trucker friends have become family on the road. Together, we have faced the relentless pressures of trucking life, but we also cherish incredible memories and experiences that bind us together. These memories are the heart and soul of our community, and it is with a heavy heart that we acknowledge the bravery and sacrifices made by those who are no longer with us.

The trucking industry is the backbone of our nation’s economy. Over 3.5 million truck drivers work tirelessly day and night, ensuring that our grocery stores remain stocked, our gas stations are fueled, and our country's infrastructure keeps moving forward. Yet, the dangers of the road are all too real, and every year, truckers tragically lose their lives in the line of duty. As fellow truckers, we feel an immense sense of loss when one of our own is taken from us.

In honor of the men and women who have paid the ultimate sacrifice, it is only fitting that we establish a lasting tribute—a Truckers Memorial Wall—at major weigh stations across the United States. This wall would serve as a place of reflection, remembrance, and unity for all who visit.

The proposed Memorial Wall would feature the names and stories of those fallen, providing a solemn space for truckers, their families, and the general public to pay their respects. It would be a powerful reminder of the vital role truckers play in our society and the personal sacrifices they make daily. Additionally, it would offer comfort and support to grieving families and the trucking community at large.

We're calling on the Department of Transportation and trucking companies to collaborate on creating and maintaining these memorial walls. By installing them at key locations—major weigh stations—across the nation, we can ensure they receive the visibility and reverence they deserve.

Join us in commemorating our fallen heroes who have kept this great country moving. Sign this petition to advocate for the establishment of Truckers Memorial Walls and help preserve the legacy of our trucking family for generations to come.
