The community on the west side of Ventura are avid walkers and bike riders. We relish the luxury of strolling to nearby stores. Our preferred grocery store is Trader Joe's for its quality and selection, but the closest outlet at Victoria is a considerable distance away. Consequently, we're left with Vons, which, while accessible, falls short in terms of meeting our grocery shopping needs.

Trader Joe's prides itself on providing high-quality, affordable groceries while promoting a greener living by encouraging customers to bring their bag. The west side of Ventura with its walk-friendly and bike-friendly environment will be a perfect fit for a new Trader Joe's.

Further, a study shows that locally accessible grocery stores can enhance community health and overall quality of life (Food Desert Report, USDA, 2017). By incorporating a Trader Joe's into our immediate neighborhood, not only will shopping inconvenience significantly decrease, but we can also promulgate a healthier lifestyle.
