When I first discovered San Tan Brewery, I was at the Phoenix Skyharbor airport in Arizona. Amidst the hustle and bustle, I found a little piece of heaven in the form of a delightful brew. The taste of the meticulously crafted beer stayed with me long after the trip ended and it's been a dream to bring this slice of joy to my home state of Minnesota ever since.

San Tan Brewing Company, based in Chandler, Arizona, is known for its Southwestern style ales. A locally beloved brand, San Tan has won numerous national and international awards for their innovative brewing and sustainability practices ("San Tan Brewery Achieves Award Winning Streak", Sustainable Business Magazine, August 2022 Edition). But despite its growing popularity, San Tan's distribution remains mainly confined to the Southwestern United States.

By building a branch in Minneapolis, not only will we satisfy the cravings of die-hard beer lovers like me, but this move could also significantly bolster the local economy. The craft beer market in Minnesota has seen significant growth over recent years, increasing economic output by over $2 billion in 2019 alone ("Industrial Statistics of Craft Beer in Minnesota", Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development, 2019).

It's time to diversify our local beer market and bring a little bit of the Southwestern sun to our beloved city. This will not just satisfy the tastebuds of us hearty Minnesotans but will support our economy as well.
