WE ARE REQUESTING TAHOMA AND KENT HIGH SCHOOLS TO ESTABLISH A PROFESSIONAL BADMINTON TEAM!!!

 Badminton’s history is richer than Lindor’s chocolate with the very first versions dating back centuries to ancient Greece and China. The most modern version, however, goes back to the 1800s when it was called Battledore/ Poona and played by British officers in India. 

Badminton wasn’t a come-and-go type of fad either, according to badmintonwarehouse.com badminton is the second most popular sport world-wide with approximately 220 million people playing it each year!

Unfortunately, Badminton isn’t extremely popular in the U.S.A, making it a less recognized sport, but there are many students willing to help change that. Due to previous limited interest in this sport, Tahoma and Kent high schools don’t have a professional badminton team but as our school’s diversity has increased, there is a much more heighted interest in badminton. Not to mention the middle school badminton teams are thriving with participation from around 9 different schools!

In conclusion, badminton is an ancient sport that is popular among over 220 million people and Tahoma and Kent students are interested in establishing badminton teams in their respective high schools! That’s why I urge you to PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION SO WE CAN REQUEST KENT AND TAHOMA HIGH SCHOOL’S ADMIN TO TAKE THIS REQUEST TO FORM A PROFFESIONAL BADMINTON TEAM IN THEIR SCHOOLS !!!
