My daughter, a dedicated Patrol deputy, was tragically taken from us by someone with a history of domestic violence. Her life was cut short due to the lack of transparency and information about individuals with violent pasts. This is not just our personal tragedy; it's an issue that affects countless lives in Tennessee every day.

According to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV), 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men have experienced some form of physical violence by an intimate partner within their lifetime. In Tennessee alone, domestic violence incidents accounted for approximately 51% of all crimes against persons in recent years as reported by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
