As someone perpetually distressed and aggrieved by deep-seated Local and Federal government and police corruption & deep seated  bureaucrats in New Zealand, I propose the establishment of a Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). This department will function as an independent body vested with the authority to investigate corruption and ensure accountability within the public service spectrum. I am not alone in this struggle; a notable 88% of New Zealanders have expressed concern about corruption in their government (Transparency International's Global Corruption Barometer, 2021). Furthermore, our country is not immune to police misconduct, with reported cases increasing by 4% in 2020 (Independent Police Conduct Authority, 2020 Annual report). These alarming facts amplify the urgent call for an independent body like DOGE to sanitize our government system, ensuring transparency and fairness for all. Join me in demanding our government to form a Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), standing as a beacon against corruption and showcasing government accountability.
