The Issue

I am deeply concerned about the traffic congestion in Las Vegas, Nevada. Although I am not a resident of this vibrant city or its surrounding suburbs, it is clear to me that something needs to be done to alleviate the strain on its roads. With over 2 million people living in the metropolitan area, and plans already underway for a high-speed rail corridor between Las Vegas and Southern California, it seems only logical to establish a commuter rail network serving the suburbs of this bustling city.

The benefits of such an initiative are manifold. Not only would it reduce traffic congestion and commute times for residents, but it would also contribute significantly towards reducing carbon emissions - an important step towards combating climate change. Furthermore, with tourism being one of the major drivers of Las Vegas's economy (attracting 42 million visitors annually), an efficient public transportation system could enhance tourists' experience while contributing positively to local businesses.

Therefore, we urge local authorities and relevant stakeholders to consider establishing a commuter rail network in Las Vegas as part of their broader transportation strategy. This is not just about improving quality of life for residents; it's about ensuring sustainable growth for one of America's most iconic cities.

Please sign this petition if you believe in better public transportation options for all who live in or visit Las Vegas!
