I am an ordinary American, much like the rest of you. Moved by the stories of WWII Soldiers, Sailors and Marines, and the selfless efforts of civilians back home, I can't help but feel the urgent need replicate such patriotic gestures. The ongoing crisis in Ukraine shakes me deeply. While I'm not equipped to design weapon systems or ensure their delivery, my skills and resources could be put towards crafting individual components. And I believe, with the right organization, many of us could do the same.

CNC and 3D printing are increasingly popular technologies in the US. They enable us to produce small yet vital components for materiel, a method reminiscent of the people of Ukraine, who are literally building drones in their garages right now.

Drawing inspiration from the American war effort in WWII, the idea here is not only about providing aid to Ukraine, but also about bolstering our own preparedness. History shows us that civilians can play a significant role in supporting the war effort when we organize effectively.

I urge the Defense Department to create an organized network where Americans can contribute to this cause, using their skills and tools to produce components for our Ukrainian allies.
