Living in the rapidly expanding community of Aylesham, we have first hand experienced the challenges that the Air Ambulance team encounters when attempting to land in our village due to the extensive development of our once open fields and green spaces. This has heightened our awareness of the vital need for a 24/7 accessible hardstanding Helipad. 

Another crucial requirement to save lives is adequate ambulance response times which is not currently met. To ensure we get the best response times in Aylesham & surrounding villages we are proposing an ambulance standby point in our area. The current ambulance response time averages to over 20 minutes in the case of an emergency, falling short of the UK National Standard of minutes. By implementing a dedicated standby point, this time could be reduced significantly, potentially turning the tide in life-or-death situations.

Our request may seem impossible but it is a plea to protect and save lives within Aylesham and the surrounding villages.

We would ideally need quick response times and maximum community cover, a Helipad and an Ambulance Standby Point would significantly bolster our emergency service efficiency and effectiveness. This proposal overrides any potential obstructions in the name of rapid life-saving medical care. 

In our rapidly growing village, the absence of these facilities could have the dire consequence of delayed responses in critical emergencies. Therefore, we ask for prompt and drastic measures to resolve this issue.
