New figures from Essex Highways, obtained through a Freedom of Information request by the East Anglian Daily Times, reveal £500,061.47 has now been spent on subcontract and professional fees since the 2017/18 financial year. 

The bridge could have been repaired by now for £450,000 to £500,000 and traffic up and running again.
