We're back for the next week of action to take down the Confederate monument (which is a Jim Crow monument from 1909) on Prince Street in Tappahannock, Virginia.
On July 27, 2020, the organizers of Tappahannock's Black Lives Matter March and Marcus-David Peters Community Day gave the Essex County Board of Supervisors a resolution to take down the Jim Crow monument.
Now we need the people to tell the Essex County Board of Supervisors to pass the resolution during their meeting on August 11, 2020.
Follow @nnkyouthresilience on Facebook and Instagram, where we will post updates with phone numbers, email addresses, and messages that you can use to tell the Essex County Board of Supervisors to take down the Jim Crow monument.
