Rydym yn galw ar Yr Eglwys yng Nghymru i atal gwerthiant Eglwys Mihangel Sant, eglwys blwyf Llanfihangel-yng-ngwynfa, Powys.

Rydym ni, y rhai sydd wedi arwyddo isod yn datgan ein hanfodlonrwydd gyda chynlluniau swyddogion yr Eglwys i werthu Eglwys Mihangel Sant. Yn ein tyb ni, mae gan yr Eglwys hon le arbennig yn hanes Cymru. 

Yma y bu’r emynydd Ann Griffiths yn addoli. Ystyrir Ann Griffiths ymhlith y mwyaf o feirdd crefyddol Ewrop. 

Yma yn yr Eglwys y bu iddi gael ei bedyddio, a phriodi. Mae ei chorff yn parhau i orwedd ar dir yr Eglwys.

Rydym yn grediniol, bod gan un o sefydliadau crefyddol mwyaf ein gwlad, y modd ariannol i atal y gwerthiant hwn. 

Gan fod yr arwerthiant yn digwydd mewn cwta wythnos (Ebrill 11 2024). Credwn nad oes digon o amser i gychwyn ymgyrch genedlaethol i arbed yr adeilad i’r genedl. Rydym felly’n datgan bod rhaid atal y gwerthiant. A hynny er mwyn darganfod ffurf a ffynonellau gwahanol i achub yr adeilad pwysig hwn.

A call to The Church in Wales to stop the sale of St Michael's Church, the parish church of Llanfihangel-yng-ngwynfa, Powys.

We, those who have signed below, declare our dissatisfaction with the plans of the officials of the Church to sell Saint Michael's Church. In our opinion, this Church has a special place in the history of Wales.

Here the hymnist Ann Griffiths worshipped. Ann Griffiths is considered among the greatest religious poets in Europe.

It was here in the Church that she was baptized and married. Her body continues to lie in the Church grounds.

We believe that one of the largest religious organizations in our country, namely The Church in Wales, has the financial means to stop this sale.

As the auction takes place in just one week (April 11 2024). We believe that there is not enough time to start a national campaign to save the building for the nation. We therefore declare that the sale must be stopped. And that in order to discover different forms and sources to save this important building.
