GREAT NEWS: Elvis Summers Has Land!

The first location will have 24 Tiny Homes and will save the lives of elderly women currently on Skid Row. This 77-acre property already has existing services and facilities (including gardens, greenery and support staff) ready to help these women. Location number two has some of the Tiny Homes that the City of LA illegally confiscated. The exact number of Tiny Homes that will be placed on this smaller lot is still being worked out. There will be a call put out for people and businesses who want to help, so be sure to check in with Elvis Summers and his team at: http://www.mythpla.org/home.html Another Exciting Development . . . Elvis Summers is just about finished the first mobile shower unit. Take a peek at it in the above video or here where you can see other projects too: http://www.mythpla.org/projects.html Another humanitarian, Victoria Barrett (who I am lucky to have as an online friend), is donating bath and body products for the new mobile shower units. Yes, Escential Elements by Victoria: https://www.facebook.com/Escential-Elements-by-Victoria-182599951756814 posted this: "Our new mission is to provide our handmade items to the less fortunate in need and no longer operating in sales." Wow. That's love. And as always, Elvis emphasizes that what he is doing is "providing a bridge between the gutter and permanent housing". But in reality, he is doing so much more than that. This man is a peacekeeper and a lifesaver. He is preventing needless death and suffering without even knowing it. Why? Because everything I've been researching (about poverty and disease), it's clear that keeping the poorest populations in the world vulnerable to violence (which is not recorded; like violence against homeless souls) or diseases (such as Zika or Chagas) is intentional. It's all cleverly hidden via red tape, ordinances, wasted taxpayers' money on lawsuits, and delays by elected officials. And it's criminal. Homeless people are the new targets of the worst forms of discrimination. They are treated as subhuman by police, fellow citizens, and elected officials. Case in Point . . . In the latest LA Times article titled L.A. County to consider putting parcel tax for homeless initiatives on November ballot: http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-homeless-tax-20160701-snap-story.html it states: "Both initiatives, if placed on the ballot, would require a two-thirds majority in order to pass." A quick glance at the comments and it's obvious that the social trend is to hate houseless people. It's so bad that there are devoted groups that routinely humiliate homeless people or anyone that helps them. [These people have even targeted this petition]. This has to stop. Many of us cannot currently donate money, but we can donate time, comment, "Like" or share these efforts. Every little bit helps. #ShareTheGood #BridgeTheGap Let's Be Better Humans. http://www.mythpla.org/donate.html Take good care, Rose Authors note: I cannot use italics or hyperlink.
