We are heartbroken to report that Angels Flight has been vandalized by someone who thinks one of our beloved railcars would look better with a cartoon rat on its side. If you can stand it, you can see the damage here: http://la.curbed.com/2016/9/9/12853430/angels-flight-tagged-graffiti This is probably the unfortunate side effect to the Wild Life installation at the base of the Angels Flight steps: when a well-known street artist places a piece, copycats show up seeking attention. This paint can and will be removed. Once it is, let’s all work together to keep an eye on Angels Flight so that this doesn’t happen again. What's next for Angels Flight? The non-profit board continues its fundraising to cover ongoing insurance and upkeep costs, and is working with engineers on a design for a track-side walkway as required by the state regulators.
