We have fought long and hard for the Alberta Government to finally allow orphaned bear cubs to be rehabilitated.  The Government fought this stating that the "risk for habituation was too high". 

WHY is the Government refusing permits for the Cochrane Ecological Institute?  CEI has years of research and experience rehabbing bears.  They have a huge area of land that allows bears to be rehabbed without constant contact and exposure to humans. 

WHY is the Alberta Government choosing a site that has 4 cubs crammed in a 20 x 40 foot cell??

These cubs currently have no quality of life and WILL NOT THRIVE IN THE WILD.
