As someone who grew up on Prince Edward Island, I have countless cherished memories of the old arena. It was more than just a building; it was a place where dreams were nurtured and friendships were formed.

Stu MacFadyen played an instrumental role in creating these memories. Stu not only contributed significantly to our community but also helped shape the lives of many young people, including myself.

Stu's dedication and generosity provided numerous opportunities for us as children and he continued to support us into adulthood. The impact on our lives cannot be overstated or forgotten. As we bid farewell to the old rink that holds so many memories, we look forward with anticipation to the new arena that will serve future generations.

To honour Stu MacFadyen and ensure his legacy continues, we propose erecting a statue outside the new arena. This statue will stand as a symbol of gratitude for what Stu has done for our community and as an inspiration for future generations.
