Born in Aston, Birmingham, Ozzy rose from a humble background to become the frontman of Black Sabbath, a band that would go on to forge the heavy metal genre.

Ozzy is not just a musician; he is a symbol of resilience and innovation. He's someone who has constantly pushed boundaries and offered something truly unique to the world. To his fans, he’s the Prince of Darkness, but to Birmingham, he's a hometown hero.

Having played his final gig in his beloved hometown, it’s only fitting that we honour his colossal impact on both the music world and the city of Birmingham with a public statue.
