400 Days since the Emergency Homeless Declaration was signed and still nothing!

The City Council will vote on a purchase and sale agreement for the property at 5313 N.E. 94th Ave. at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 16. 406 days since the Emergency Homeless Declaration was signed.
If you’d like to testify during the Community Communications portion of the meeting, you need to register ahead of time:
To testify remotely, visit the Council webpage, click on the “Public Participation” tab and fill out the form at the bottom of the page by noon on Dec. 16. To testify in person, you can register outside of the Council Chambers at City Hall (415 W 6th Street) by 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 16. Remember, this is just a vote for the purchase of the land, not anything else. They will still need to demo the current building and construct a new building. How much longer will this take? Another 406 days?
As part of the City’s homelessness emergency declaration, staff will provide a year-end update to the City Council at 4 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 9. The meeting will be broadcast on CVTV.org, cable channels 23 / HD 323 and the City's Facebook page. I encourage everyone to watch and continue to educate ourselves.
Our neighborhoods and the unsheltered cannot wait another year for change. We need the camping ban enacted now so our neighbors are safer. We deserve the same safety distance from encampments that "Stay Safe" shelters have, 1000 feet.
Please continue to forward this petition to your networks and let's hold our elected officials accountable to much swifter action than we've seen the past 400 days!
