EQUAL PARENTING RIGHTS' AFTER SEPARATION' CHANGE DVO RULES IN AUS
The issue
To: The Attorney-General of Australia and the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia,
We, the separated dads of Australia sitting on benches alone... I am a father from Brisbane. My daughter Amber is my whole world.
After separation, I became a hopeless/helpless dad. I sit on a bench every sunset waiting. I paid, I worked, for years, I love my daughter more than life — but the law does not see me as equal.,mothers continues to prevent kids from meeting their dads.
Need major change ,help to sign' for changing in DVO rules, There is no evidence required' just with a phone call or blaming by mothers on dad' police issue a DVO to dads, no warnings,no evidences, which later effects on dads character' leads to getting reduced caring time for kids ,after separation.,so many womens already misusing this,to get free legal services' or just to make an evidence so later on they can dispute for caring times and costs.there is no option to proove that dad is innocent'
Thousands of dads in Australia feel the same anxiety no one talks about — when you can't see your kids.
We are not asking to take mothers away. We are asking for equality:
1. Make equal shared parenting (50/50) the starting point, not the exception.
2. Fast mediation — decisions in days, not years.
3. Equal access and respect for dads after separation.
4. Mother cant stop dad to meet his kids,if mother prevents, no remuneration should be paid by dad to mother,as long as she prevents.
A child needs both parents. A dad's love is not less, specially for daughters, dad can do anything , does love twice to daughter even if compared with dads own mother.
If you are a dad who waits on a bench, a mum who believes in equal parenting, or a child who missed their dad — sign this.
