Our family has reached out to the Edmonton police service to request the most simple basic information about the investigation into our child’s death and they directed us to FOIP the information into the investigation to get our answers …

we followed process and protocol and requested the information formally … EPS acknowledged our request and cited 30 days for the information then reversed their decision (all within an hour)  and placed TWO BANS on us. Essentially, 25 year to life ban placed on us to ever access ANY information in regard to what happened to our child and his death and why no one was charged. 
They cited “ possible prosecution” … So, essentially as long as no one is charged in Eric’s death, they can block access to all information due to the “possibility” of charges. That may never happen in our lives… and if it someone is charged, a 25 year ban is activated. 

Why can’t we know what happend to our boy?
Why can’t we know and understand why no charges are laid?
