Krishinda went to a mother who was risking free birthing at home. She made it clear to mum and partner that she was not there in a working capacity but the mum needed a friend and her partner was a long way away but travelling back. When mum progressed and got into difficulty Krishinda stepped into assist and ensured the baby was born, resuscitating it on arrival before the ambulance arrived. The NMC has put her through a lengthy investigation which still sees no conclusion ahead - a hearing is set for two days in October and a further few days in December. Her dilemma is she wants her side to be told and to try to control the narrative, but she has no. intention of working here again and feels it will just bring her back to a dark place that she has worked hard to move away from.
