Over the last few months we have asked members of NMCWatch to complete a survey - this is now closed after having 148 responses. 

Lots to learn from the feedback but also very sobering to read how many have been caused harm by it

We hope for the culture to change soon - but for these it is not soon enough

1. No clear information on where to go for support. It an horrendous experience that takes you to the brink and there should be more support especially from the RCN who have had my fees for over 30 years
2.     I am retiring early as a result of the impact of being subjected to bullying by management, downgraded despite found as having no case to answer albeit on protected pay. I have lost all faith in the NHS after 34 years of full time service with no sickness. I am totally broken
3.     The length of time waiting and most infecting like a criminal,I doubt I'll ever be the same again
4.     The whole system needs to change and urgently for transparency with the service.
5.     A very negative difficult time causing anxiety and having to take 2weeks off work as felt as though would have a nervous break down due to anxiety and stress of everything
6.     Just vile! And totally unfair
7.     Nmc very unhelpful from the case manager had to fight to get my accommodation and travel paid for
8.     It's been a long long hard drawn out process that to this day continues. It often feels like the system is not fit for purpose. It feels clumsy and at times communications have been very poor. Multiple duplications of paper work has been stressful. As was the nmc s breach of my health confidentiality. The experience of being guilty from onset, with onous on registrant to disprove feels unfair.
9.     My life is destroyed

10. Union were no help. I represented myself and had support from a school friend who worked in HR. I cleared my name but cannot wait to leave nursing, but on my terms
