I'm a concerned parent whose son spend hours playing in YPL at the Bangalore football stadium. Week after week, I see them running around in areas littered with garbage and hazardous debris. The joy of a game should not be overshadowed by the risk of injury or illness. Yet, the conditions at these grounds are putting our children in danger. Recently, while gathering with other parents to cheer on our kids, I noticed significant cracks and makeshift structures that could easily lead to accidents.

It's disheartening to witness kids playing under such precarious circumstances. These grounds should be a place of safety, learning, and joy. However, without proper maintenance and facilities, they're becoming anything but that. Reports from other parents echo the same concern – without immediate action, it's not a matter of 'if' but 'when' a serious accident will occur.

This is why I'm calling on the Karnataka State Football Association to prioritize the renovation and maintenance of this Ground. Immediate steps must be taken to clean the garbage, ensure proper seating arrangements, and secure areas that currently pose risks.

The evidence is clear: according to studies, unkempt recreational areas significantly increase the risk of accidents among children. We cannot overlook the influence of environment on our children's safety and well-being. Further delay equates to continued danger, and this is unacceptable.

Proactively, the KSFA can set an example of how sporting bodies should act. They can mobilize existing resources, engage with local waste management services, and coordinate with municipal bodies to oversee necessary renovations. It's imperative that we make these grounds safe havens where our children can thrive and nurture their love for football.
