The Council have told a meeting that the Watling Car Park development which includes 3 sites: The car park and nearby green space, the former Burnt Oak builders' merchants, and the Library customer service centre, is being totally re-designed, starting with working on flood risk mitigation. Usually flood risk mitigation is an add on and done after the main planning considerations, but in this site they are doing it first so that flood risk is integral to the whole project.
