The Community Has Been Heard!

Thanks to your voices, your signatures, and your tireless advocacy, the Cassowary Coast Regional Council has officially opened Expressions of Interest for a new not-for-profit community group to manage the Innisfail Animal Refuge and Pound Services.

This marks a major step forward in ensuring that domestic animals in our region receive the care, compassion, and transparency they deserve. Even the cassowaries are joining in on the celebration!!

The EOI is now live and welcomes applications from incorporated, not-for-profit groups ready to deliver ethical and community-focused animal welfare services.
