Ensure accountability of public servants in India
The Issue
For years, ordinary citizens in India have been bearing the brunt of inefficient public service. As someone who has experienced this firsthand, it is clear to me and to many others that we, as citizens, are suffering because of the inefficiency and lack of accountability among public servants. Without a system in place to evaluate performance, there is no motivation for improvement or excellence.
It is time to implement a robust accountability system for public servants in India. By introducing a report card system, we can measure the performance of each public servant. This transparency will not only highlight the dedicated and efficient workers, but also expose those who are underperforming. Public servants in the bottom quartile, based on this performance evaluation, should face termination. This measure will ensure that only the most capable individuals retain their positions, paving the way for more qualified and committed personnel to join the workforce.
Furthermore, it is crucial that public servants are held liable for any loss of property and life that occurs as a result of their negligence, mismanagement, or intentional actions. This would instill a sense of responsibility and preparedness in managing public resources and safety.
Other countries have successfully implemented similar accountability frameworks, leading to more efficient and responsive governance. India, with its vast population and growing demands, cannot afford to lag behind in this aspect.
Your support is vital to make this change happen. By signing this petition, you are helping to ensure that public servants in India are made fully accountable for their actions and that citizens receive the competent and efficient services they rightfully deserve. Sign now to demand accountability and efficiency from our public servants.
