The Issue

For too long, a handful of powerful corporations have controlled the majority of our media. Instead of informing the public, these conglomerates manipulate narratives, silence independent voices, and spread division for profit.

The consequences are everywhere:

Political violence and riots.
School shootings and hate-driven attacks.
A dangerous rise in racism and polarization.
The destruction of reputations and businesses.
This is not what a free press should look like. The First Amendment was designed to protect open debate and truth—not to give a handful of corporations the power to weaponize information against the American people.

We demand change.

Congress, state, and local leaders must act to:

  1. Prohibit conglomerates and corporations from owning more than two news outlets.
  2. Force immediate divestment by companies like Comcast, Disney, Warner Bros. Discovery, Fox, News Corp, NBCUniversal, and Paramount.
  3. End all public funding, subsidies, and tax benefits to media monopolies.
  4. FCC Violations result in the license revocation indiscriminately and permanent ban from public facing outlets for life
  5. Create a public trust, “We the People, Inc.,” funded by penalties on media conglomerates, to provide restitution to citizens harmed by false or malicious reporting.

This is not about silencing voices—it’s about breaking monopolies, restoring accountability, and making sure Americans have access to independent, truthful, and diverse media.

Our constitutional republic represented by a democratic process cannot survive when information is controlled by a few. It’s time to dismantle media monopolies and return power to the people.

If this doesn’t change, our children will be forever trapped in ideologies that threaten our existence as we know it.

Sign this petition if you believe the press should serve America—not corporations.
