This number highlights the pressing need for transparency concerning the whereabouts of sex offenders. Understanding that offenders also deserve a second chance and some privacy, there remains a balance that must be struck between public safety and privacy rights.

The implementation of a mile-radius system would pioneer a safer environment for everyone. This approach has been seen in other countries where citizens can be aware of offenders living within a certain distance from them. Such awareness allows communities to take proactive measures to protect children and vulnerable individuals.
