Dear Sunterra HOA Board,
I am reaching out as a concerned resident in response to the significant and continuing support for the petition requesting a rental cap within the Sunterra community.
The petition has collected over 500+ signatures from homeowners and residents who are deeply concerned about the growing number of rental properties, including Section 8 housing, and the effect this increase is having on community safety, property values, and neighborhood standards.
The petition and resident feedback can be reviewed here:

The volume and pace of participation make it clear that this issue is of great importance to the Sunterra community. Residents are calling for proactive measures — specifically, consideration of a reasonable rental cap — to help safeguard the long-term stability, safety, and livability of our neighborhood.
We respectfully ask that the HOA:
Acknowledge receipt of this petition
Share its current position on rental restrictions
Provide insight into any actions or discussions underway to address these concerns
Outline plans to improve safety and reduce crime within the community
Thank you for your time and attention. We look forward to an open and transparent response that reflects the concerns of the residents you serve.
Sincerely,
A Concerned Sunterra Resident
