I watched as my son had to tell his story again, listen to the awful things adults had to say about him. Answering questions over and over. The same question in different ways. He was strong, he was brave, he stood up for himself and others. More than anyone has stood up for him. He has been braver than most adults. He is willing to stand up for whats right even when it’s hard. Where are all of the moms that watched him grow? The coaches that were suppose to keep him safe? The “friends” that we made? Show him you care, show all kids they matter. Make USA Hockey pay attention, listen! We all sign their code of conduct, but when it comes time to enforce those rules they want no part of it.
