While we are waiting for a photo from Boca Chica of the site where our first „restaurant for dogs“ shall be located I want to raise your attention to a petition that deserves our support: https://www.change.org/p/poison-politics-and-protectionism-are-halting-progress-for-animal-welfare-on-nevis The situation on this small Caribbean island, not in the focus of international tourism, is particularly bad, view the report on http://www.kreolischerhund.de/SituationStreuner.en.php#Nevis : Poisoned dogs, hung dogs, illegal dog fights in which also corrupt officials seem to be involved, a bounty for killed wild donkeys, killed with barbaric methods; all this is sad everyday’s life on Nevis where animals welfare activists endure with the suffering animals for decades now though they much rather would leave this island for good. The government of Nevis was formerly a recipient also of our petition in the course of which it came to a dialogue with Premier Mark Brantley who admitted the lack of empathy among the island’s residents and the need for Humane Education. But nothing has happened! Let us help to get this petition international attention so that it can make an impression on the government of Nevis!
