In the name of 31.505 supporters of the petition “No more poisoned and abused dogs and cats at hotels, beaches and in communities of the Caribbean!” we protest vehemently against the poisoning of 8 dogs, among them several puppies, in Vista del Caribe, Cabarete on the 9th of August 2016. We demand of the community of Cabarete to prosecute this crime and punish the offenders as the law 248-12 demands. The poisoning happened near the famous kite surfing beach Encuentro. Among the victims was also one of the innocent puppies on the photo. 31.505 supporters of the petition are telling you that tourists, coming from countries with a large pet keeping culture and often pet keepers themselves, abhor animal abuse like this and prefer to vacation there where they don’t meet such cruelties. They expect the community of Cabarete to enforce the law 248-12 so that this law will be respected and crimes like this will stop! We will report this crime to the Ministerio Publico de la Republica Dominicana, department animal welfare and animal rights and ask the prosecutor to file a suit against the offender in the name of all supporters of this petition! We ask for your help especially now in signing and sharing this petition!
