Since they had to leave before the dog's travel documents were ready, Anna, being prepared by Dr. José for the trip to the States, had to go by cargo and that costs a lot more than a flight accompanied by a passenger, too much for two newlyweds… 2) The Breathless Punta Cana Resort & Spa donates sheets, towels and cleaning materials to RescátaMe, adopted a stray dog as company for their security guards and has an adoption board with pictures of RescátamM puppies looking for a home. 3) The Catalonia Royal Bavaro has the same animal-friendly attitude as the Catalonia Bavaro Beach which adopted puppy Nino already quite a while ago from the beach and was then added to our hotel guide. 4) The VIK Hotel Cayena Beach follows the same policy as the VIK Arena Blanca, the very first animal-friendly hotel in Punta Cana which had its cats already spayed and neutered in February 2013 5) The IFA Villas Bavaro was one of the first hotels ever to allow RescátaMe on the resort grounds when many others still locked their doors, for instance in October 2014 when German tourists called for help for a cat. Later on little tom IFA was neutered, the "ambassador" for an animal-friendly Villas that accommodated Carib Spay Neuter vets in May 2015 That brings us up to 21 animal-friendly hotels in Punta Cana from 104 hotels currently listed on Tripadvisor and only a handful away from the milestone 25 % ! Already now we can say that Punta Cana is the resort community in the Caribbean with the most animal-friendly hotels - by far! And that only 1.5 years after hotels have begun to receive the petition that has now 30.579 supporters right now! Let's continue and support this petition
