Dear friends, soon, maybe still today we reach the milestone of 25.000. What did we achieve up to now? A dozen hotels are cooperating with our local partner, the animal welfare organization RescátaMe, in Punta Cana, one of the largest - if not THE largest resort communitiy of the Caribbean, among them all 6 Mélia hotels belonging to the biggest resort chain on earth with over 350 hotels in 40 countries. That are exactly 11.5 % of the hotels in Punta Cana according to the tripadvisor estimate of 96. Presently there are no pending negotiations between RescátaMe and further hotels - but that may change quickly during the peak season of this winter when guests demand again animal-friendly behaviour of their resorts, supported by our petition! RescátaMe states that the hotels value entries on tripadvisor particularly highly.So please, if you or any of you friends travel the Caribbean this winter leave an animals welfare oriented comment on tripadvisor and best save a copy to send to me: gorskiisabel@t-online.de to paste on Tourists report. And PLEASE ask your travel agency or operator or with whoever you book to add the link to our animal welfare addresses to their travel infos: http://kreolischerhund.de/TierschutzadressenKaribikVerzeichnis.en.php . Because with the address of an animal welfare organization nearby in their pocket also tourists that may feel helpless otherwise will be encouraged to make a stand!
