By imposing term limits on Congressional members, we can ensure fresh perspectives, new ideas, and genuine representation in Congress. This will bring a breath of fresh air into our policies and put an end to the stagnation due to entrenched political power. Statistics have shown that Congress' approval ratings have often been dismally low, hovering around 20% to 30%. Introducing term limits could significantly improve these numbers by fostering an environment where politicians are incentivized to work towards the public good, knowing that their time in office is finite.

In addition to curbing corruption, term limits can also help in mitigating the immense lobbying power that long-term incumbents often cultivate. By rotating our leaders, we introduce a culture of accountability and transparency, ensuring that elected officials focus on their constituents and not on career longevity or lobbyist paybacks. 

As members in Congress are elected and remain in power, they build relationships with wealthy individuals who are able to sway their opinion and interfere with a just system of government. Introducing a limit of two six-year terms for Senators and six, two-year terms for the House of Representatives would introduce new people and ideas into the legislative branch consistently.
