Coweta County has no plans to conduct a traffic study for the proposed SPLOST project Prowell Sports Complex.

The county moving forward with this project after everything we learned from Trinity's due diligence is telling. This project should be deemed infeasible.

The very nature of sports is a huge mass of people in and out at the same time. The appearance is that the county plans on building first and then will worry about the traffic impacts. This is the tactic they did with LeRoy Sports Complex on Highway 16. Suddenly they will cry eminent domain powers to 4-lane Fischer Road and then move forward with seizing land on the Gunby Property to build a roundabout.

The taxpayers and property owners demand that they improve the infrastructure first before a blade of grass is disrupted on this land. The county needs to prove that each and every athletic field is an absolute need for the general public, and that the existing fields across the county have reached their full utilization through proper maintenance or upgrades.
