For many members and supporters of the Hawaii Republican Party, the recent actions of our leadership have been deeply troubling. Being a part of this political community means having a voice and trusting that our leaders will uphold the bylaws and procedures that bind us all. However, as a dedicated participant in the Party from Maui County, I am compelled to express a growing concern: our leadership is failing to follow its own bylaws, and all internal remedies have been exhausted.

Currently, members, including duly elected representatives, are facing immediate and irreparable harm. Their basic rights to participate in decision-making processes are being denied, and they are being excluded from crucial Party decisions. Leadership actions have allowed improper appointments and committees, suppressed debate, and violated procedural rules, such as those set by Robert’s Rules of Order (RONR), which are supposed to govern our meetings. These actions undermine trust and legitimacy within our Party, and threaten its very integrity.

This is not merely an issue of internal politics; it is an issue of truth and fairness. By not adhering to the established rules, the leadership is eroding the foundation on which our political system is built. This is of grave concern to all members who value transparency and justice.

Our appeals within the Party framework have unfortunately fallen on deaf ears, leaving us with little recourse but to turn to the court system as the only authority capable of enforcing compliance. We believe that judicial intervention is necessary to ensure that the rules are followed and to prevent these unlawful actions from causing permanent damage to our Party.

The immediate need is for the court to review these actions, enforce the compliance with the bylaws and procedural rules, and protect our rights as members. We seek transparency, accountability, and the right to participate without obstruction or exclusion.

Our voices must be heard, and our rights must be respected. Join us in signing this petition to demand action and to uphold the Republican principles of the Hawaii Republican Party. Let us restore trust, legitimacy, and the proper functioning of our Party.
